Firefox Extension
While you can do everything via the web interface, the true power of Hampr comes from the Hampr Firefox extension, which lets you add and search for your Hampr Bookmarks directly from the Firefox toolbar. The Hampr Firefox extension can be installed on multiple computers, which will all have concurrent, convenient access to your entire Hampr bookmark collection.
Features
- Your Hampr bookmarks at your fingertips.
- Quick Add: One-click bookmark adding.
- Dropdown menu shows your recently-added bookmarks (customizable).
- Extension ties into your account; no need to log in twice.
Installing the Extension
- Download the latest Hampr Firefox extension (version 2.2).
- If necessary, add "www.hampr.com" to Firefox's list of allowed sites, and try the download again.
- Click "Install".
- Restart Firefox to complete the installation.
- If you are running Windows or Linux, you are done! Look up at the menu bar; "Hampr" should have replaced "Bookmarks" (this is customizable). If you are using Mac OS, you must perform extra steps (see below).
Mac OS X Post-Installation
Unfortunately, severe technical restrictions of the Mac OS X main menu bar prevents Hampr from being an effective extension on this platform. However, you can still use Hampr as a toolbar plugin. To activate this, you must open the "Customize Toolbar" dialog and drag the toolbar item where you want it to rest.
(Yes, these screenshots show installation for an old version running Windows. The procedure is the same, and the screenshots will be updated in the near future. Thank you.)
- Go to View -> Toolbars -> Customize. The "Customize Toolbar" dialog box opens.
- Find the "Hampr" icon in the dialog.

- Drag the "Hampr" icon somewhere onto one of the Firefox toolbars. A good location is just to the left of the "Bookmarks Toolbar".

- Click "Done". The Hampr extension is now ready for use.

Bookmarklets
If you don't want to use the Firefox extension, here are a few bookmarklets you may drag to your bookmarks toolbar.
